2023 Adventure Club Paddleboarding and Kayaking Trip
“I think paddleboarding is really fun, and it is a great opportunity for people to hang out with their friends” - Ms. KR
On September 25, 2023, the Seton LaSalle Adventure Club, including students and Sponsor Ms. Kennedy-Risk, known by her students as Ms. “KR,” went on a paddleboarding and kayaking trip at Moraine State Park for their first event of the new school year.
Sophomore Mariana Mangual said that she “Got to spend time with friends and do something that was fun.”
During this trip there were approximately 10 people in total that paddled around Arthur Lake and even floated down a secret river that led them to Snake Island. For many students, talking to each other and spending time in nature was the best part of the experience.
The Adventure Club has been holding many fun and successful events since 2020. All who attended this kayaking and paddleboarding adventure had an enjoyable experience.
Ms. KR said, “The best part was getting to spend time with the students and getting to know them better. I also like getting to enjoy time outside.” Overall the trip was another success for Adventure Club.
